MISSIONS

First United Methodist is proud to partner with various mission organizations within our community and around the world. Here are just a few of the mission projects we support throughout the year:

• We regularly support the local ministry endeavors of the GOOD SAMARITAN CENTER and MEET THE NEED through our Fifth Sunday Food Drives, Adopt-a-Family Christmas Program, and sponsoring holiday meals and gift card purchases.
• We adopt students from Nicaragua through the RAINBOW NETWORK. Through this partnership, students were given the opportunity to finish high school, a milestone goal in their country.
• Each fall, we collect mittens, gloves, and winter hats for our local elementary schools, so that they may distribute to students in need.
• We regularly contribute to our denominational disaster relief and care fund, UMCOR (United Methodist Committee on Relief).
